Active Buff of Month

Sarah is a grad student majoring in architectural engineering and she works as a live-in nanny. Sarah uses sports and working out with friends as a means for social and physical activity. Her favorite area of focus at the Rec is Intramural sports, specifically basketball. When she’s not playing an intramural sport she comes to the Rec to lift or for turf fit! Her biggest fitness hurdle to date was overcoming two hurt ankles, but Sarah stays motivated to work out because of how great she feels mentally and physically after a workout. To find new routines, she researches what others are doing via Internet blogs and social media. Sarah works out 5 times a week and in order to keep her muscles happy her go to post-workout snack is a protein smoothie made of: chocolate protein mix, banana, peanut butter, and ice. Sarah hopes to run a half marathon by the end of the summer and we believe she can!
