Nick Valcourt

Nick Valcourt is an independent researcher who focuses on systems approaches to complex issues in low resource contexts. Nick completed his PhD at CU Boulder’s Mortenson Center in Global Engineering in 2019 where he served as a graduate research assistant on USAID’s Sustainable WASH Systems Learning Partnership. His doctoral research focused on the use of an innovative ‘factor mapping’ process for engaging local stakeholders in systems mapping activities, and the application of complex systems thinking concepts to international development programming.
