Kristen Conroy is a Lecturer and PhD Student at the Ohio State University studying sanitation for low-resource settings. She is passionate about sanitation in rural areas of countries in the majority world. After college, she worked in Kenya for a year on WASH related projects. Currently, she teaches two engineering service-learning travel courses annually and has developed a humanitarian engineering course. Her research focuses on seawater toilet flushing and urine diversion. She is excited to talk about toilets, menstrual hygiene, hiking and your favorite podcasts.
