Heather is a PhD student in Environmental Health Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley School of Public Health and is an NIH Biomedical Big Data Fellow. Advised by Dr. Jay Graham, her research aims to explain how risk factors related to WASH and/or food-animal production affect antimicrobial resistance transmission among humans and animals in low- and middle-income communities. To do so, she will combine methods in environmental and molecular epidemiology, causal inference, and machine learning. Heather received a BA in Psychology from Kenyon College and an MPH in Global Environmental Health from Emory University, and previously worked as a data analyst for the CDC's California Environmental Health Tracking Program (now Tracking California).
