SLICE is hiring for the 2026-27 academic year

SLICE is a diverse team full of individuals who are excited to connect students with resources, engage and plan service opportunities for our campus with our communities, and make a larger social impact through education, service and reflection. Out student assistants will work approximately 10-12 hours per week (including some required evenings and weekends) and pay will start at $17.60/hr.

Open positions

  • Manage official partnerships while engaging in outreach to on-campus and non-profit community partners in the area through email, phone and in person visits
  • Identify opportunities for new community partnerships as well as community needs that our office can help address 
  • Manage CU Serves Platform (GivePulse), the CU Boulder volunteer management software 
 
  • Plan, implement, and execute large- and small-scale service events  
  • Facilitate and plan programs and services that focus on volunteering, service learning, social justice, and understanding the root causes of community issues. 
  • Manage all logistics of event planning including food orders, transportation reservations, budgeting, and community partner management
 
  • Work with the Program Manager for Experiential Education to plan, coordinate and implement the Sko Serve program, including and Weekend, Winter, Spring and Summer Break Trips 
  • Recruit and retain Site Leaders and participants through a variety of marketing and communication strategies 
  • Assist the Program Manager in planning, organizing and facilitating weekly Site Leader training 
 
  • Design, update, and capture content for SLICE social media channels 
  • Effectively represent SLICE in an engaging and professional manner in all forms of communication  
  • Create new and engaging social media posts, updates, videos and more in collaboration with SLICE Staff 
 
  • Guide between 5-19 LLC participants through their first year at CU Boulder
  • Assist in running direct service projects and facilitate reflection sessions, including -- but not limited to -- the First-Year Service Experience
  • Develop and implement programming hosted within the LLC based on community needs and interests
