Exploratory Studies is an independent program under the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education and is home to ~25% of incoming first-year students. At the end of the first year, students transfer to one of the degree-granting academic options on campus or opt to continue with Exploratory Studies through their third semester.

The University Exploration & Advising Center supports undergraduate students across CU Boulder through academic and exploratory advising, academic coaching, and advocacy. We connect students to campus resources and provide programming to empower them to make insightful decisions about their educational, career, and life goals.

The University Exploration & Advising Center strives to be a premier center for supporting students’ exploration and success through their journey at CU Boulder. The UEAC also aspires to be a leading innovator in promoting high impact practices and fostering cross-campus collaboration.
