Tami Church

My name is Tami Church and I have taught math and science at Lapwai High School for 20+ years.  Lapwai is a public school located on the Nez Perce Indian Reservation in north central Idaho.  Our student population is predominantly Native American and our school would be considered rural and small.  I have bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Secondary Education.  I am a lifelong learner so I spend my summers working in research labs at major universities like Florida State and Arizona.  Last summer I worked at the National High Magnetic Field Lab at FSU using a scanning electron microscope to analyze magnet materials.   I enjoy working in the summers with scientists solving problems for tomorrow and sharing what I have learned with my students.
