Shelby Ross

Shelby Ross- I'm a Lakota Wiyan from the Oglala Lakota College on the Pine Ridge Reservation. I am majoring Conservation Biology and plan to be graduating with my B.A. in the next year or so. I am also a Gates Millennium Scholar, and have attended Creighton University and University of Kansas in the past. I plan on using my degree to help my reservation become more aware of the environmental problems and maybe help develop a recycling program for the reservation. I'm looking forward to seeing where this sustainable housing project goes, because it can help many families on the reservation. In my downtime, I like to play any sports and naturally competitive. I also really enjoy naps, Indian tacos (food in general), and nature.
