Matthew Janis

Hello my name is Matthew Lynn Janis I am from and currently living in Kyle SD which is located in the heart of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. I am attending Oglala Lakota College going for my B.S degree in Natural Science, I attended this program last summer as a student from F.P.C.C and I really enjoyed it. my Dad has an A.S degree in carpentry and he worked for the Oglala Lakota Housing Authority here in Kyle for many years. He taught me the basic carpentry skills and the fundamentals to build a proper house so I was able to incorporate that knowledge with the skills I learned from the program to incorporate science, math, and carpentry to build a sustainable housing.
