Chantel Greene

Hello my name is Chantel Greene and I am an enrolled member of the Nez Perce Tribe located in Lapwai, Idaho.  I’m currently working in Health care for Nimiipuu Health as the Human Resources Specialist.  The Nimiipuu Health Clinic is located on the Nez Perce Tribe Reservation. I am also a Research Assistant for the University of Idaho and working on a Photo-voice Research Project title “Nimiipuu Environmental and Cultural Values in the Clearwater Basin.” I graduated from Haskell Indian Nations University with my BA in Indigenous American Indian Studies with an emphasis in Environmental Justice.  I also have an Associates of Science degree in Health, Sport, and Exercise Science. My future plans are to further my education by pursuing a Master’s degree in Sustainability or Health Science, and plan to work in a setting where I hope to further economic growth and education in sustainable development for my organization.  Outside of education and work I love to play sports such as basketball, softball, and volleyball.  I enjoy running, lifting weights, spending quality time with my new fiancé and little Chihuahua named Ziggy, at the same time of caring for my elderly grandparents. I maintain a healthy life style and enjoy motivating those around me to do the same.
