Anthony Tarin

Anthony S. Tarin is a member of the Akimel O’odham tribe, culturally known as the River People, from the Gila River Indian community located in the southwest region of the lower 48 states. He is a currently a senior in the Indigenous and American Indian Studies Program at Haskell Indian Nations University (Lawrence, KS). In conjunction with his academic studies, Anthony also is an active student both in the Haskell community and in the Lawrence area. He believes in applying academic knowledge to real-world experiences. Most importantly, he always wants to make sure people are well taken care of and any way he can help with that, he is there. Upon completing his degree at Haskell, he intends to pursue a Master’s degree in Indigenous Social Work at Arizona State University.
