- James Curry has been named a fellow of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, which recognizes those who have made “outstanding contributions” to the field.
- A team of of Arts and Sciences faculty has won a $150,000 grant for a project that aims to develop a curricular initiative that enhances the humanities and data science by developing courses that are equally rooted in each discipline.
- Buffs raised over $20,000 in March for student causes. The month was an opportunity to raise funds and awareness for the areas of CU Boulder life that students care about and to make a big impact in the lives of current and future Buffs.
- A sense of community is key to higher graduation rates and other measures of academic success, participants in the Miramontes Arts and Sciences Program say.
- The 2022 Research and Innovation Seed Grants, announced by the Research & Innovation Office and the Office of the Provost, are funding 25 new projects for up to $50,000 each, including three new CU Boulder Grand Challenge projects.
- The Innovating Large Courses Initiative is a new program focused on supporting academic units to create sustainable change for learning in large courses at CU Boulder. The initiative aims to improve student success in these courses through team-based efforts and cross-campus collaboration.
- “Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Wisdom of Plants” by Robin Wall Kimmerer is the selection for Buffs One Read in the fall.
- Cadets from CU Boulder's AFROTC executed a 24-hour memorial run for Officer Eric Talley and the other victims of the Table Mesa King Soopers tragedy.
