Timeline for PhD program decisions

Everybody is always very curious about the PhD/funding decision timelines. Every university does things a little bit differently, so it can be confusing! The following general timeline guide will hopefully clarify any concerns or questions that you have regarding the process that we use at CU.

Step 1: Offer Letters sent out inviting students to GEARRS

Step 2: Students attend GEARRS and talk with potential research advisors (if you are unable to make GEARRS, just make sure you make an effort to reach out to professors of interest during this time)

Step 3: Approximately 2 weeks after GEARRS, financial offers for teaching assistant positions will be sent out.
