Scott Griffith

Scott Griffith serves as director of Student Life Technology Solutions. He leads a team of professionals who provide the software, business solutions, IT and safety infrastructure needed for a safe and well-supported environment.      

Scott brings 25 years of higher education information technology experience to CU Boulder. Prior to his arrival, Scott managed networks and secure databases for the University of Texas school of medicine and coordinated computer lab infrastructure and operations at Colorado State University.   

Scott has been at CU Boulder for 15 years, starting as a systems administrator at Wardenburg Health Center in 2009. Here he designed and architected a secure, redundant, highly available and compliant computing environment. As IT manager, he expanded the secure computing environment and electronic health record to CAPS. As an associate director, Scott further expanded IT services, cloud-based systems and desktop support to other departments in Health and Wellness.  

In 2021, he accepted the role of interim director of Student Affairs IT. As director, Scott and team continue to provide a secure computing environment which enables highly available business software applications and data-driven decision making.  

Scott earned his Master of Science in technology education and construction management and his Bachelor of Science in technology education and training from Colorado State University.
