Megan Medina joined the Service Learning & Impact in Community Engagement (SLICE) team as director in Jan. 2026. SLICE equips students to collaborate with partners, advocate for shared priorities and co‑create positive social change through service learning and volunteer action. Megan is passionate about creating inclusive and transformative programs that foster civic engagement, experiential learning and student success.
Megan came to CU Boulder with over 15 years of experience in higher education and nonprofit management, most recently serving as the Director of Community Engaged Learning at the University of Utah. Hailing from the Great Plains of North Dakota, Megan earned her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication Studies from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn. and her Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from the University of Utah. Outside of her work championing community engagement, Megan likes to spend time adventuring in the mountains with her friends, family and mini Aussie dog.
