Heather Lee

Heather currently serves as the interim director of Student Life Finance, bringing over eleven years of experience within the finance team. She began her career as a finance and business analyst for Housing and Dining, and for the past nine years has led budgeting, financial planning, reporting and fiscal year-end close processes in her role as associate director. Heather is proud to represent the Student Life Finance team in her interim role, often describing them as an exceptional group that are dedicated, intelligent and a true pleasure to work with.

Heather is deeply committed to financial analysis and operational efficiency and is known for her collaborative approach to partnering with departments to develop practical, strategic solutions that help teams thrive. Over the past few years, the Student Life Finance team has steadily expanded its portfolio, building strong relationships across the division and providing trusted financial guidance and support. The SL Finance team provides comprehensive financial support to approximately 35 departments across the division. These services include budgeting, reporting and forecasting, student and event billing, cash management, revenue reconciliation and financial oversight to ensure operational efficiency and fiscal accountability.

As a proud CU alum, Heather finds personal meaning in contributing to the university’s mission. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, supporting her children’s many activities, camping, reading and chasing after her energetic red heeler/beagle, Rocky.
