Student Affairs Commitment Committees: Fall 2021 updates
Our Student Affairs Commitment Committees, organized around the four key commitments for our division, are hard at work and have recently had some updates to their membership. We’re grateful for the staff who’ve joined these teams and the work these committees are doing.
Student-Centered Environment Committee
The committee on ensuring a Student-Centered Environment is charged with reviewing and improving the student experience at CU Boulder. This will be done by ensuring all decisions, policies, programs and communications are student-centered within the Division of Student Affairs, especially within and throughout COVID-19.

Equity, Inclusion and Social Justice Committee
The Student Affairs Equity, Inclusion and Social Justice Committee will support the Division of Student Affairs by providing educational and developmental opportunities around the issues of diversity. We are committed to fostering a culture of learning, appreciation and understanding in order to better serve our students, each other and the greater CU community.

Employee Engagement Committee
The Employee Engagement Committee is dedicated to building a welcoming and thriving community that supports the overall well-being of all Student Affairs employees, especially throughout the pandemic. Members of the committee will work to establish and maintain an inclusive culture where employees recognize they are valued for their efforts and contributions to departmental and divisional goals. Employees will feel encouraged and supported in their own professional, interpersonal and intellectual development. The committee will develop, host and promote activities, appreciation/recognition events, lunch and learns, town halls and other programs to foster this community within the division.

Shared Services and Financial Strategy Committee
The Shared Services and Financial Strategy Committee seeks to make recommendations to assist and support divisional leadership in the alignment of financial resource management and support provided by all shared services. The committee is responsible for developing, monitoring and evaluating projects that result in new guidance, tools and strategies in support of greater efficiency, collaboration and standardization.
