President: Annika Stephan
Hello, my name is Annika and I can’t wait to be this year’s president! I am going into my senior year and I am majoring in biochemistry with a minor in philosophy. I am very interested in medicine and biomedical research, and I am deciding between a career in either field (MD or PhD) or one with both combined (MD PhD). Outside of school, I enjoy running, hiking, and spending time with friends. I am also trying to get back into skiing this year. I look forward to seeing what this year entails!
Vice President: Ankit Mukkamala
Hi, my name is Ankit Mukkamala and I am the Vice President for the 2025-2026 AED Chapter! I am a senior majoring in MCDB. In my free time, I like to keep aquariums, take care of my houseplants, and explore new restaurants! I am very excited to work alongside the other officers to build the best chapter yet!
Secretary: Nina Weprin
Hi my name is Nina and I will be your secretary for the 2025-2026 year! I am currently a senior majoring in Integrative Physiology with a minor in Biochemistry, and I hope to attend medical school in the future. I like to draw and play video games with friends, and my favorite place to relax is up in the mountains! I’m so excited to see both new and seasoned faces this year :3
Treasurer: Dhruv Seth
Hi, my name is Dhruv and I am this year’s Treasurer! This is my third year in AED and I was the Pledge Trainer last year. I am a Pre-Med Senior majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Dance. I am a skilled amateur cook (my mom is a chef) and a breakin’ dancer (breakdancer): I am actually the President and founder of the CU Breaking Club! Very excited to see all of you this upcoming year.
Pledge Trainer: Maddie Schmitzer
Hi, I’m Maddie and I’m going to be the AED pledge trainer this year! I’m going into my junior year as an Integrative Physiology major with a minor in Art History and I want to go to medical school. I like to golf, paint, spend time with my friends, and I’m always looking for a new show to binge watch. I’m so excited for this year and I can’t wait to get to know everyone!
Philanthropy Coordinator: Victoria Kiss
Heyo! My name is Victoria Kiss (she/her) and I am this year’s Philanthropy Coordinator! This is my second year as Philanthropy Coordinator and my third year in AED. As a senior, I am majoring in Biochemistry with minors in both Chemistry and Space! Although I originally joined the club for my interest in medical school, I have now switched over to the dark side (graduate school), and I am applying this fall to Biophysics/Structural Biology programs! In my free time I love to hike 14ers, and I am also an avid skier (side effects of being a Coloradan). I cannot wait to meet all of the new faces and catch up with previous members. SKO Philanthropy!
Social Coordinator: Jessica Nesbit
My name is Jessica and I am this years Social Coordinator! I am a senior pre-med majoring in integrative physiology with a minor in public health. In my free time I like to cook and take care of my house plants. My favorite part of AED is listening to the speakers and the annual spring retreat.
Health Fair Co-Coordinator: Wren Goldman
Hi, my name is Wren, and alongside Sam, I will be coordinating this year’s AED Health Fair. I am a senior majoring in biochemistry and minoring in dance and MCDB. I plan to get my PhD in Marine Biomedical Technology. When I am not in the lab or class, I spend my free time reading, lifting weights, and dancing. I am looking forward to another great year in AED and another excellent Health Fair!
Health Fair Co-Coordinator: Sam Patten
Hey! My name is Sam and I am so excited to plan this year’s health fair alongside Wren! I am a junior majoring in MCDB with minors in Chinese and public health. After graduation, I plan to continue pursuing my passion for science and medicine by either attending medical school or pursuing a PhD in Biomedical science. I love to hike, weightlift, paint, paddleboard, and hang out with my dogs. I can’t wait for another great year in AED!
