Whether you’re interested in sustainability, diversity and inclusion, health or other topics, there are many ways for students to learn and meet Buffs with similar interests. Check out these workshops and opportunities this fall.

Join sustainability programs and events

The Environmental Center is the place on campus to develop knowledge and skills around sustainability. Through the Sustainable Buffs Community and other Environmental Center events, you’ll have the chance to connect with your peers and network with experts, and make a positive impact on campus and beyond.

Learn about diversity, identity and inclusion

The Center for Inclusion and Social Change and the Dennis Small Cultural Center both offer events and programs to learn about cultures, diversity, identities and more. You can also sign up to receive a newsletter from the Office of Diversity, Equity & Community Engagement (ODECE) to stay informed of upcoming events and learning opportunities.

Check out outdoor courses and trips

If you enjoy the great outdoors, consider participating in trips and courses with Outdoor Pursuits. Meet Buffs with similar interests and learn about hiking, backpacking, biking, fly fishing, kayaking and more. Take advantage of learning new skills and exploring all that Colorado has to offer.

Explore career and skill development

If you’re starting to think about life after graduation, Career Services is here to help you prepare. Check out weekly events and workshops to learn about writing resumes, building skills, preparing for interviews and more. There are also industry events to get advice from CU alumni and experts.

Learn through volunteering

Whatever your interests or passions may be, volunteering can often give you hands-on learning experience. Visit the Volunteer Resource Center to learn about opportunities that fit your interests and schedule.

Attend health and wellness events and trainings

Learn about self-care, nutrition, illness prevention, mental health and much more at Health Huts, Wellness Wednesdays and other events. Health and Wellness Services has a variety of programs each semester to help you learn, develop skills and meet fellow Buffs.

Join a student organization

With over 500 student organizations on campus, there are many groups with a focus on learning outside the classroom. Browse BuffConnect to explore student organizations by category or interest.
