Pride Month at CU

Pride designed banner

Nationally, October is 2SLGBTQIA+ History Month. It was founded in 1994 by Missouri high-school history teacher Rodney Wilson. This is an annual month-long observance of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender history, and the history of the gay rights and related civil rights movements.

CU Boulder has often celebrated Pride in October with 2SLGBTQIA+ History Month, because there are not many students on campus in June and celebrating history is a part of Pride. Students, staff and faculty are encouraged to celebrate themselves and their history, in addition to the history of our 2SLGBTQIA+ ancestors.

Join us at upcoming events and learn more about how to get involved.
