CU Boulder has over 500 student organizations covering a wide variety of activities and interests. For students interested in sports, recreation and outdoor activities, many groups welcome all skill levels to have fun, learn and compete.

Pickup Soccer Club

The Pickup Soccer Club gives students with previous soccer experience a place to play without the commitment of club soccer. Players do not need to try out to participate.

Backcountry Squatters

Backcountry Squatters creates a community network to support college women in the outdoors. They offer resources to grow participation, leadership and representation in the outdoor industry and community. BCS is for all skill levels and includes day trips, clinics, virtual hangouts and more.

CU Powerlifting

Powerlifting at CU offers students at all levels the opportunity to compete in local and national powerlifting meets. The group also hosts team lifts each week.

CU Sailing

The CU Sailing team teaches students at all experience levels how to sail double-handed dinghy boats. The group aims to help students develop their skills on the water.

CU Mountain Biking

With a focus on new and novice mountain bikers, CU Mountain Biking offers optional practice, training, education and biking trips for students at any skill level.

CU Boulder Gymnastics Club

CU Boulder Gymnastics Club competes against other colleges across the country at a high level. The club welcomes students at all levels of experience.

CU Cornhole Club

CU is home to the largest collegiate cornhole club in the country! Students are welcome to join whether it’s their first time playing or they are cornhole experts. The group meets weekly and participates in other events and tournaments.

Boulder Freeride

Boulder Freeride is the largest student organization at CU Boulder. The group welcomes members at all skill levels with the goal of promoting positivity, inclusion and encouragement. Students participate in monthly meetings, events and trips throughout the year.

CU Boulder Ice Skating Club

The Ice Skating Club welcomes skaters of all abilities, including beginners. The club focuses on figure skating with training on and off the ice, social gatherings and ice shows.

CU Disc Golf

The CU Disc Golf organization invites students to learn the sport of disc golf through friendly weekly competitions. New members can join for free with equipment provided by the group.
