Helana just graduated with her Associate's degree form Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute where she studied environmental science. She is working with us this summer on the tomatillo defense project in collaboration with the CUUB program here on campus. Helana hopes to use this experience to build her knowledge in scientific research and work toward a career in environmental science. Outside of school, Helana enjoys beadwork and making regalia for pow-wow!
