Explore the Force: The Science of Star Wars (Grades 4-6)

“I am one with the Force, the Force is with me.” In an hour, we will take on some of the science behind the movies – experimenting with forces and motion, using angles of incidence and refraction to track a laser, and wrapping up with following lightning on its path to the ground. This STEAM-based exploration takes us from the deserts of Tatooine to the planet-wide city of Coruscant. Once we have the skills needed to navigate the galaxy, we will gain the rank of Jedi Knight.

Group size: Up to 30 students
Grades: 4-6
Cost:

• $180 set-up fee
• 1 to 3 sessions on the same day: $115 per session. A fourth or fifth session in the same day is $150 per session. 
• $30 layover fee per hour when any two programs more than one hour apart. 
• Travel fees are generally waived for nearby schools. Additional travel fees may be incurred on a case-by-case basis. 
• Discounts available based on financial need and availability of funds.
