$330 + $40 Arduino materials fee = $370
Location: CU Science Discovery

Note: Morning and afternoon camps can be combined to create a full-day experience. If your child is registered for both a morning and afternoon camp at the same location, Science Discovery staff will provide lunchtime supervision.

This hands-on camp is an introduction to physical computing using the popular Arduino microcontroller platform. You’ll learn how to assemble simple electronic circuits and write programs (Arduino “sketches”) to create projects that light up, move, and make sound. We’ll use the Seeed Studio Grove Beginner Kit for Arduino, which is both user-friendly and expandable, making it perfect for future projects. Bonus: You’ll take home your own Arduino kit at the end of camp, allowing you to continue building and expanding your creations! No experience necessary.

What to Bring: While at Science Discovery, participants are expected to store their personal belongings in their backpack. Space is limited so please limit the number of personal items brought from home. • All camps spend a portion of each day outside. Please send your child with clothing appropriate for the daily forecasted weather (jacket, sweatshirt, rain poncho, etc.)
  • Optional: A mask or any additional Personal Protective Equipment the child wishes to utilize
