Shafiu Alidu

Shafiu is a graduate student in the Department of Religious Studies at CU Boulder. He holds a BA degree in Religious Studies with First Class Honors (Summa Cum Laude), majoring in Islamic Studies. His research interests encompass a wide range: from Sufism (exploring Islamic purification, spirituality, ritualism, asceticism, and esotericism) to African indigenous religions and Abrahamic faiths. Specifically, he digs into the commonalities between African indigenous religions and Abrahamic traditions, while also venturing into the captivating realm of Islamic mysticism (Sufism).
