The journal Professor David Shneer co-edits, East European Jewish Affairs, recently launched a special edition on the theme “Contemporary Russian Jewish American Culture.” (2016, no. 3). To celebrate the occasion, scholars, writers, visual artists, filmmakers, photographers, and graphic artists gathered for a Festival of Contemporary Russian Jewish American Culture to discuss the new wave of these immigrants’ cultural contributions to American culture.
