On February 18th, Aaron Proffitt, Religious Studies MA graduate 2008, successfully defended his dissertation at the University of Michigan for a Ph.D. in Buddhist Studies. Shortly thereafter, he traveled to Albany, NY to interview for a position as Assistant Professor of Japanese Religion at SUNY Albany. We're pleased to announce that he will be starting there in the Fall of 2015. Congratulations, Aaron!
