After many years in the business world, I returned to school so that I could teach and study linguistics. I am interested in how language, culture and learning intersect. My experience with writing has been mostly at the professional level, where I was responsible for, among many other things, drafting public corporate communications of a financial nature and coordinating comments from various internal and external parties. In addition to teaching writing at CU, I have taught English in Xi’an, China at Jiao Tong University, a research university known for its strong engineering and technology programs. In my spare time you can find me globetrotting and photographing people and wildlife in their environments.
