Welcome to CU Boulder! A permit or pass is required to park in any parking lot on campus for students, faculty, staff and visitors. Your license plate is your permit (after it is registered and the permit fee is paid). Your license plate must be 100% accurate, or you may receive a ticket. We encourage you to plan ahead for your days on campus to get the best lot options available. You must log into your parking account to get advanced access and discounted rates.
- Faculty and Staff logged into their account may purchase thirty days in advance.
- Students logged into their account may purchase eight days in advance.
- Non affiliates may purchase permits three days in advance.

Instructions - Discounted Parking for Faculty and Staff
Here is how you purchase a discounted daily parking permit. This method works for all CU staff and faculty:
- Go to CU Boulder Parking
- Select the gold button which reads "Online Services" at the top right corner of the home page.
- This button will bring you into the Online Parking Portal
Here is where you will need to login with your identikey and password:
- After you login then you will select “Purchase Parking Permit”
- Now select “Daily Parking”
- Now you will see the Discounted Daily Employee Parking for $5.00 per day.
When you click on the Discounted Daily Employee Parking for $5.00 per day, you will be asked to enter in the date range for the permit and then you can select the parking lot. For a list of parking lots, see the campus map.
