Below are the MAXWELL CubeSat's six mission objectives and mission success criteria:
- MO-1: Demonstration of high rate data downlink at X-band.
- Minimum: MAXWELL shall downlink 150MB of data at 10Mbps during one pass at X-band.
- Full: MAXWELL shall downlink 450MB of data at 30Mbps during one pass at X-band.
- MO-2: Demonstration of high rate data uplink at S-band.
- Minimum: MAXWELL shall uplink 750kb of data during one pass at 50kbps at S-band.
- Full: MAXWELL shall uplink 3MB of data during one pass at 200kbps at S-band.
- MO-3: Demonstration of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) downlink at X-Band.
- Minimum: MAXWELL shall downlink 15MB at 1Mbps during one pass at X-band data using CDMA.
- Full: MAXWELL shall downlink 15MB CDMA data in the presence of other narrow band signals in the same frequency.
- MO-4: Demonstration of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) uplink at S-band.
- Minimum: MAXWELL shall uplink 300kB at 20kbps during one pass at S-band using CDMA.
- Full: MAXWELL shall uplink 300kB CDMA data while receiving other narrow band signals in the same frequency.
- MO-5: Demonstration of the Chip Scale Atomic Clock (CSAC).
- Characterize the performance of the Chip Scale Atomic Clock on orbit.
- MO-6: Demonstration of the MMA T-DaHGR X-band antenna.
- Minimum: Deploy the MMA T-DaHGR X-band antenna on orbit.
- Full: Characterize the performance of the MMA T-DaHGR antenna on orbit.
