Places
The places and geographies in which ancient coins were minted and circulated are an important part of the study of numismatics and when examining the iconography of ancient coins portraying local and regional expressions of identity. As part of the Fall 2025 Numismatics Seminar, undergraduate and graduate students created presentations on selected places that minted coins around the ancient Mediterranean world. We gather students' contributions here in order to offer a glimpse into the seminar's conversations in and beyond the classroom.
