The plants and animals of the Arapaho ancestral territories play an integral role in the Arapaho culture. From cuisine, attire, and decorative accoutrements, to sacred meaning; the Arapaho had specific uses for most plants and animals.
Traditions involving wildfire have been passed down for centuries. Many of these customs are still observed.

- Try to find the otter, skunk, geese, willow trees, sweet grass, and the mountain birch.
