Steve Lozar recently retired from the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal Legal Department. His main focus of work for the past six years was on the historic and current water rights of the Flathead Nation. Prior to that time, he served three terms on the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal Council, as President and Board Member of the Montana Historical Society, and has been a Reservation business owner for 38 years. Mr. Lozar taught Anthropology at Salish Kootenai College for 30 years.
