Geomorphology, mechanics and timing of landscape evolution

Research Interests

My academic interests focus on the processes that drive landscape evolution, studied through monitoring of modern systems, numerical modeling of these systems constrained by modern rates, and establishment of a chronology that constrains the longer term pace of landscape evolution. While recent research has focused on alpine landscapes, and the glaciers and rivers that carve them, I remain interested in all landscapes, the processes that drive them, and the natural patterns that emerge.
