Maya McDonough

Maya is a Master's student in Geological Sciences and at INSTAAR, working with Dr. Suzanne Anderson. She is currently studying hydrogeology and geomorphology of alpine environments. Her research focuses on the hydrology of rock glaciers and the connections between glacier melt and groundwater. Maya graduated in 2022 with a BS in Geology from Bates College, where she completed a undergraduate thesis on paleoclimate reconstructions of sea surface temperature in the Arctic Ocean near Svalbard, Norway.
