Research Interests

Water-rock interactions in surface waters and groundwaters; acid mine drainage; natural background, trace element geochemistry; aqueous geochemical modeling; thermodynamic data evaluation; arsenic geochemistry; fluorine geochemistry; hydrothermal chemistry; geochemistry of nuclear waste disposal; microbiology of inorganic redox transformations. Field sites include mine sites in California, Colorado, New Mexico, and Idaho, thermal features and rivers in Yellowstone National Park.
