The BioFrontiers Institute invites all postdocs to hear from BioFrontiers and MCDB faculty Ed Chuong, who will give a chalk talk to a mock search committee of faculty. We’re focusing on what’s common in biological discipline chalk talks (i.e., giving a talk on new, less-polished research ideas that you’d pitch in the first grant you write as a faculty member).

Joe Rosse, Associate Vice Chancellor of Research Integrity & Compliance, will lead a discussion on research misconduct including: plagiarism; authorship disputes; fabrication of data; and falsification of data.
