Please note: We will no longer be able to accommodate public fingerprinting to be submitted to the State of Colorado. Please see below for more information.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has implemented a statewide digital fingerprinting process known as CABS (Colorado Applicant Background Services) in response to Senate Bill 17-189. The CBI recently awarded contracts to Colorado Fingerprinting and IdentoGO.
This allows these vendors to print and submit non-criminal applicant fingerprints for the State of Colorado. The vendor services are located throughout the state, increasing applicants’ ability to obtain fingerprints in a timely manner. These vendors electronically transmit the civil fingerprints to the CBI for processing. CBI will no longer accept fingerprints from CUPD.
This includes any type of civil fingerprints for background checks for Colorado’s 64 professions requiring licensing. Examples are teachers, child care, Colorado bar, real estate, massage therapy, and EMS to name a few.
