CUPD is proud to operate a training center east of campus. This training center is utilized for CUPD departmental training, University of Colorado Boulder safety and Clery compliance training, and police, public safety, and emergency management courses. Certain courses are open to outside agencies and universities. Please explore our training highlights and learn more about how we strive to exceed best practices and national standards in offering progressive, inclusive training on a variety of topics to officers and professional staff to enhance our recruiting and retention efforts. These efforts have been highlighed by local and national media.

What You Do Matters: Lessons from the Holocaust is a highly interactive course developed in concert with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM), specifically for law enforcement with focus on ethical and bias free leadership. The course is facilitated by law enforcement professionals and utilizes historical images, videos, artifacts, and displays selected by museum historians for engaging conversation for thought leadership. This course is like no other course in law enforcement and is supported by several years of short-term and long-term survey results and POST and/or CLE approval in multiple states including Arizona, California, Kentucky, Minnesota, Ohio, New York, South Dakota, and Texas.
