Shanelle is a postdoctoral researcher in the Bio-Inspired Perception and Robotics Laboratory (BPRL) within the Department of Mechanical Engineering/ Robotics Graduate Program. She investigates and implements the fundamental sensing, processing and control feedback principles which govern robust behavior in organisms into novel controller design to enable new classes of robotic systems with improved agility, locomotion and autonomy.
