Students pursuing a 2nd bachelor's or a graduate degree are eligible.
A. Enroll in Leadership Laboratory and AFROTC course
Review this course registration briefing (MANDATORY) to avoid being charged tuition improperly.

B. Be enrolled full-time at CU Boulder or one of the crosstown universities:
Undergraduate: 12+ credit hours (AFROTC Course included)
Graduate: 9+ credit hours (AFROTC Course included)

If you're applying to the Graduate Law Program (GLP) or One-Year College Program (OYCP):
A. Email det105@colorado.edu with the following information:

B. Wait to be contacted for an interview schedule.
C. You must do this during the first semester (GLP) or second year (OYCP) of law school.

Once WINGS is fully complete:
1. Submit the Det 105 In-Processing Survey
Due: 25 July 2025 @ 2359 MST
Your application will not be reviewed without this
You won’t be scheduled for in-processing or New Cadet Orientation (NCOR) until this is complete
A. Register for the required AFROTC classes as outlined below
B. Review this course registration briefing (MANDATORY - Read to avoid charges to your account. You will be responsible for charges incurred if you do not register correctly).
C. Fall 2025 Starters:
Estimated May/Dec 2029 graduates (AS100 cadets - 4 year program/5 year program) must register for:
AIRR 1010 (or crosstown school equivalent - see AFROTC Registration Document above)
AIRR 1947; Thursdays
Estimated May/Dec 2028 graduates (AS250 cadets - 3 year program)
AIRR 1010 AND AIRR 2010 (or crosstown school equivalent - see AFROTC Registration Document above)
AIRR 1947; Thursdays
Active Duty Prior Service: If you have 180 days or more consecutive military service, your AIRR1010 (AS100 Fall) and AIRR1020 (AS100 Spring) can be waived with the Detachment Commander's approval.
Please register only for the AIRR2010 course and AIRR1947.
ARC/ANG Prior Service: If you have completed BMT and have 1 creditable year of ARC/ANG service, your AIRR1010 (AS100 Fall) and AIRR1020 (AS100 Spring) can be waived with the Detachment Commander's approval.
Please register only for the AIRR2010 course and AIRR1947.
You must register for AIRR 1947 through Buff Portal or with your respective academic advisor like any other CU Boulder course
D. Crosstown Cadet Notes:
UCD and UCCS students MUST complete a Concurrent Registration Form (available at your registrar's office) with the AFROTC courses for which you are requesting to be enrolled, and have your Dean's office sign/approve
Once complete, return the form to your respective registrar's office
UCD and UCCS students MUST complete concurrent enrollment forms EVERY semester.
Return signed concurrent registration form to the UCD or UCCS Registrar's Office
All other crosstown cadets will need to use the CU Boulder Continuing Education/ACCESS Program to register for Leadership Lab (AIRR 1947) ONLY. Do not register for any other Aerospace Studies course using the ACCESS program, or you will incur a charge. Work with your school's Office of the Registrar to register for the other AFROTC courses you need.
This course is zero (0) credits, so the cost will be zero (0) dollars
Submit your ACCESS online application as soon as possible
You can access the ACCESS application by clicking the Enrollment tab on the left side of the page and following their instructions
Once your ACCESS application has been approved by CU Boulder, you can enroll in the AIRR 1947 class immediately. This should be completed NLT one week prior to the start of the semester

Detachment 105 follows the CU Boulder academic calendar and crosstown students must plan accordingly to account for any differences

Time: 0900–1530 (no slots 1200–1300)
Location: Folsom Field Gate 5, CU Boulder
Parking Info: CU Boulder Map - Parking
Attire: Business Casual (khakis/slacks, polo, closed-toe shoe, knee-length dress, etc.)
C. Bring the following to your appointment:
ORIGINAL Birth Certificate & Social Security Card
Provide all/any form of citizenship documents (i.e naturalization papers.)
Citizenship documentation (if applicable)
Laptop
If applicable: DD214, CAP/JROTC/Eagle Scout Certificates
A. NCOR is mandatory and occurs just before the semester begins
B. Includes:
Fitness Assessment (1.5 mile run, push-ups, sit-ups)
Introduction to Cadre and Cadet Leadership
Orientation to AFROTC structure & expectations
C. Attire:
Business Casual for orientation
Workout clothes & running shoes for fitness assessment
Sleeveless shirts are not authorized
D. Bring: Notebook, pen, water

Common Mistakes to Avoid
Failing to complete the In-Processing Survey after WINGS account creation = no interview or admission
Registering for Aerospace classes incorrectly and getting charged tuition
Not uploading all required documents into WINGS
Missing concurrent enrollment forms if you’re at UCD/UCCS
Forgetting to bring the required documents to your interview
