Incoming Cadets,
New Cadet Orientation is fast approaching! If you are new to the Thunderchief family, New Cadet Orientation will be an important experience for you.
You will be introduced to the cadre and cadets that run and lead the detachment and you will learn everything you need to be prepared for your first week of Air Force ROTC. In addition, expect to take a fitness assessment workshop which includes a 1.5-mile run, push-ups, and sit-ups. This fitness assessment workshop will provide us with a baseline of your fitness level and it will be used as part of your application process.
For more information about the Air Force Fitness assessment, please review this video and score chart. (Note: waist measurements for USAF Fitness Assessment are no longer required)
New Cadet Orientation will be held on 26 August 2023 at 0715. Please check our website for updates.
The dress code will be business casual. Please bring a change of workout clothes which includes running shoes, workout shorts, and a shirt (sleeveless shirts are not authorized) for the fitness assessment.
Applicants are highly encouraged to bring their own note-taking materials and bottled water.
More information about the new cadet orientation will be posted on this site so, please check back for updates.
