Kaci joined the Office of Victim Assistance in September 2023 as a Victim Advocate Counselor. She received her BS in Criminal Justice and her Masters in Social Work (MSW) from Loyola University Chicago.
Before joining OVA, Kaci worked as a counselor at the Neurofeedback Clinic of Northern Colorado, providing individual and group counseling to a wide variety of populations, including survivors of trauma. Kaci has a variety of trauma-informed modalities including mindfulness, Brainspotting, CBT, DBT, EMDR, Neurofeedback and Animal Assisted Therapy. Kaci has previously worked in other counseling and advocacy positions including being a volunteer advocate with SAVA (a sexual assault support center in Ft. Collins), a court advocate intern for survivors of domestic violence at Alternatives to Violence, and a counseling intern at Resilience (formerly RVA) in Chicago, where she provided brief trauma counseling for survivors of sexual assault. Kaci is passionate about providing trauma-informed, culturally relevant counseling and advocacy services to survivors and those impacted by trauma.
