Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 cup broccoli florets, cooked and chopped
  • 1 cup finely grated mild cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Directions

  • Cook broccoli until firm not soft and chop into very small pieces. Use a food processor or some other tool to grind up broccoli. Set asiIn a large bowl combine chicken, egg, bread crumbs, all the spices, cheese and broccoli. Mix with your hands. Form into burger patties. Refrigerate for 15 minutes to firm them up.
  • Cook in a frying pan with about 1 tbls of oil or on a grill. If you grill them, make sure you use tin foil that’s been sprayed with PAM or they’ll stick to grill.
  • Serve on a bun with mayonnaise and tomato.
