Butter Cookie with Pecan
Ingredients
Yields 12 cookies
- 1 c. butter, room temperature
- ¾ c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 c. sifted flour
- pecan halves
Directions
- Preheated 350°F oven
- Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add vanilla.
- Sift in the flour and mix.
- Chill dough for 1-2 hours.
- Make one-inch balls. P
- Roll in sugar and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Flatten slightly.
- Top with a large pecan half.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes but watch closely watch closely so that they don't turn brown.
- Let cool on the sheet pan for five minutes and finish cooling on a rack.
