Currently a Researcher III at the University of Minnesota (1/2021) ~~~ Brief Bio: Rachael Kaspar is conducting research in the Oceans and Climate Lab during the Spring 2016 semester under the ATOC Minor / Independent Study program. Rachael is double-majoring in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology and Environmental Studies and minoring in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (ATOC). As a rising young scientist interested in organismal and ecological responses to environmental stressors, Rachael is investigating recent trends in marine biological productivity (chlorophyll) near the Galapagos Islands and associated changes in ocean circulation. Rachael is simultaneously working as an Undergraduate Researcher in Prof. Michael Breed's lab on honeybee communication and thermoregulation.
