Research and Personal Interests
My main interests are sustainability, cradle to cradle materials development, and connecting materials science and engineering across disciplines, especially with environmental science and ecology. My research focuses on using microbes to grow biologically-derived sustainable building materials. Outside of research, I love anything in the mountains, reading a good book and cooking up a delicious meal!
