Allison Sedey is the academic advisor for the Departments of Linguistics and Speech, Language, & Hearing Sciences. She received her Ph.D. in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1995 and is dually certified as a speech pathologist and audiologist. Her research focuses on speech and language acquisition of young children who are deaf or hard of hearing. She is particularly interested in the impact of early intervention on speech and language development as well as identifying additional factors that lead to more successful language outcomes for children with hearing loss.
