Star Lee Waring
- Dietze and Davis, P.C. of counsel
I graduated with a B.A. Magna Cum Laude in Anthropology in 1973 from C.U. and a J.D. from C.U. in 1979. I am an attorney who has been in private practice for 45 years although I plan to retire at the end of this year. Most of my career has been devoted to water law which is an interesting and important field in Colorado. I taught water law for several years at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. I have done a fair amount of mentoring as an Adjunct Professor and as a former President of the Boulder County Bar Association.
My advice to students...
I would urge students to take a broad range of classes and hopefully many classes outside of their majors. I think undergraduate studies are an excellent opportunity to develop knowledge in a wide range of subjects which will serve students well in whatever career choices they make. I also would recommend that they strive for a healthy work-life balance as a means of alleviating stress and preventing burn-out and feelings of isolation.
