My advice to students...
Having attended another large University (U of Michigan) my advice is to make the effort to find academic mentors in your areas of interest. Do the work to ‘shop around’ and find the instructors who have the best reputation for teaching excellence and select a few to help guide you through your college years. Begin to build your network of friends that you will want to keep with you over a lifetime. The future is going to be ever more challenging and you will want a core group of comrades to support and challenge you over time. Finally, get to know the Boulder community beyond the campus; its leaders, its history, its place in the world.
